Freehand Balayage Techniques

£120.00

Balayage gives the colourist more freedom to place colour where she/he chooses, unlike foils which can be much more precise.

Extremely versatile – Great for creating ‘beachy’, sunkissed looks or surfer style highlights on blonde hair but equally good for brightening up any depth or tone of hair and can create dramatic or soft, natural accents.

Great for clients who favour a low maintenance colour as it has a very natural finish with no harsh demarcation lines.

Description

Balayage

The original Balayage method of colouring originated in Paris in the 1970s. Taken from the French verb  ‘Balayer’, meaning to ‘sweep’, it is a reference to the way the colour is applied to the hair. It is a freehand technique which involves painting on highlights from top to bottom with a ‘sweeping’ brush stroke.
